Oscar da Silva tallied 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead Stanford to a 75-60 victory against Washington State in Pac-12 action on Saturday in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Da Silva made 10 of 18 shots from the field and 6 of 9 from the free-throw line and added two blocked shots as the Cardinal (8-3, 4-1) won their third straight game. Ziaire Williams added 16 points and Jaiden Delaire had 10.
Andrej Jakimovski scored 19 points and Isaac Bonton added 18 for the Cougars (9-2, 2-2), who lost for the second time in three games despite shooting 45.8 percent (11 of 24) from 3-point range.
Stanford outrebounded Washington State by a 36-29 margin and took advantage of 17 turnovers by the Cougars, including 10 steals.
The Cardinal shot 49.1 percent (28 of 57) overall but only 17.6 percent (3 of 17) from downtown. They outscored the Cougars 16-7 at the foul line.
Tony Miller had 11 points and eight rebounds off the Washington State bench.
Stanford led 41-30 at halftime but the Cougars took momentum to start the second half, surging to a 55-53 lead on Efe Abogidi's 3-pointer with 7:53 to play.
Da Silva countered with a 3-pointer at the other end and the Cardinal never trailed again. Stanford finished out the game on an 11-0 run.
