Traci Carter scored 19 points and Austin Williams added 17 points and four rebounds to lead Hartford to a 64-50 victory over UMass-Lowell on Saturday in West Hartford, Conn., giving the Hawks the America East title and their first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Hunter Marks contributed 14 points and six rebounds and Miroslav Stafl had 10 points and eight rebounds for Hartford, which got all of its scoring from the starting lineup. The Hawks (15-8) led all but 2:31 of the game.
Obadiah Noel had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead UMass-Lowell (11-12). Kalil Thomas added 11 points and Connor Withers had a game-high 11 rebounds.

Norfolk State is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012 after defeating Morgan State, 71-63, in the final of the MEAC tournament in Norfolk, Va. Joe Bryant Jr. scored 17 points to lead the Spartans (16-7), who knocked off Morgan State for the fourth time in five meetings this season. The Bears (14-8) got 16 points from De'Torrion Ware.
