P.J. Hall scored 15 points to lead four Clemson players in double figures as the Tigers never trailed en route to knocking off Florida State 75-69 Wednesday night in an Atlantic Coast Conference game in Clemson, S.C.
Hall, who has scored in double figures in 20 consecutive games, made 5-of-8 shots from the floor.
Nick Honor and Chase Hunter added 12 points apiece for Clemson (12-9, 4-6 ACC), which has defeated Florida State three times in their last four meetings.
Naz Bohannon, a graduate transfer from Youngstown State, added a season-high 11 points for the Tigers.
It was the third consecutive loss for the Seminoles (13-8, 6-5), who got a team-high 16 points from Caleb Mills on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. RayQuan Evans was the only other Florida State player in double figures with 11 points.
Clemson shot 60.7 percent from the floor in the first half and got 10 points from Honor in building a nine-point lead by halftime, 45-36.
Florida State began chipping away at the Tigers' lead in the second half. The Seminoles made four of their first six 3-point shots and eventually pulled within two points, 69-67, with 2:25 remaining.
But Hall made four consecutive free throws and the Tigers closed the game on a 6-2 run to wrap up the victory.
Clemson prevailed despite turning the ball over 14 times, but shot 51.9 percent from the floor for the game, including 40 percent (6 of 15) from 3-point range. The Tigers also outrebounded the taller Seminoles 37-24.
Florida State shot 48.1 percent from the floor and made 7-of-22 (31.8 percent) 3-point attempts.
