Casey Morsell scored a game-high 23 points and Terquavion Smith added 13 as the NC State Wolfpack cruised to an 85-64 victory over visiting William & Mary on Tuesday night in Raleigh, N.C.
Morsell shot 8 of 12 from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, to go along with three rebounds. Smith shot 3 of 11 from the field, including 3 of 9 from beyond the arc, in addition to five rebounds and a career-high seven assists as the Wolfpack won their third straight game.
Jack Clark added 12 points and seven rebounds, with Dusan Mahoric chipping in 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists and Jarkel Joiner finishing with 11 points six assists and four rebounds.
The Wolfpack (7-1), who led by as many as 37 points in the second half, shot 31 of 63 (49.2 percent) from the field, including an impressive 12 of 28 (42.9 percent) from 3-point range, in addition to outrebounding the Tribe 42-33
William & Mary (3-5) was led by Noah Collier's 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Gabe Dorsey had nine points and two rebounds and Chris Mullins added 8 points.
The Tribe, which has lost four of their past six games, shot 22 of 57 (38.6 percent) from the field, including 7 of 19 (36.8 percent) from beyond the arc.
Leading by 58-39 with 13:24 remaining, the Wolfpack turned the game into a blowout by going on a 14-0 run to take a 72-39 lead following Ernest Ross' two free throws with 9:55 to go.
After the Tribe took a 19-17 lead on Jack Karasinski's jumper with 11:10 left in the first half, the Wolfpack took control of the game for good by ending the half on a 26-9 run to take a 43-28 lead at halftime.
Smith and Morsell each had 10 first-half points, while Clark added seven for the Wolfpack, which shot 17 of 32 (53.1 percent) from the field, including 7 of 15 (46.7 percent) from beyond the arc.
William & Mary was led by Dorsey and Mullins, who each scored six.
