Keisei Tominaga scored 21 points and Derrick Walker added 18 to rally Nebraska to a 73-63 overtime victory Saturday against visiting Wisconsin.
Nebraska (12-14, 5-10 Big Ten) was down by as much as 17 points with 16:12 remaining before making their comeback charge. Sam Griesel added 15 points along with six assists and seven rebounds and Blaise Keita led the Cornhuskers with 11 rebounds.
Wisconsin (14-10, 6-8) was led by Nebraska native Chucky Hepburn, who had 19 points in fifth straight game scoring at least 15. Connor Essegian had 13 points with seven rebounds and Max Klesmit had 12 points, although both Klesmit and Tyler Wahl (six points) fouled out.
The Badgers led 35-24 at halftime after going 6 of 12 from 3-point range in the opening 20 minutes. The Cornhuskers were just 1-for-8 from 3-poing range in the first half but their struggles would not last.
The Cornhuskers shot 7-for-13 from 3-point range in the second half, when Tominaga when 4-for-7. A 14-0 Nebraska run gave them their first lead of the game at 48-47 with 11:14 remaining.
The teams went back-and-forth from there, leading to Hepburn missing a deep step-back 3-point attempt at the buzzer to send the game to overtime. Wisconsin has been in 14 games within five points at regulation this season, the most in the NCAA.
In the extra period it was all Cornhuskers. The Badgers scored just two points and Nebraska sealed the victory on a 12-0 run.
Wisconsin has lost seven of its last 10 games.
