Branden Carlson scored 27 points and collected 11 rebounds to lead Utah to a 79-60 victory over Oregon State in Salt Lake City on Thursday night.
Marco Anthony chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Utes. Gabe Madsen added 13 points and four steals, and Lazar Stefanovic also tallied 13 points. Utah shot 47.4 percent from the field and committed only eight turnovers.
Utah (12-4, 5-0 Pac-12) has won five straight games against Pac-12 opponents for the first time since the 2017-18 season. The Utes are 5-0 in Pac-12 play for the first time ever.
Tyler Bilodeau led Oregon State with 11 points, and Rodrigue Andela added 10.
Oregon State (7-8, 1-3) lost its second straight game and remained winless in true road contests.
Utah forced four turnovers over a two-minute stretch to fuel a 7-0 run and open up a 15-6 lead early in the first half. Madsen had three early steals and ignited the spurt on the other end with a 3-pointer.
The Utes led by as many as 13 points before halftime. Stefanovic scored back-to-back baskets to extend Utah's lead to 40-27.
Oregon State cut the double-digit deficit to a single point early in the second half. Bilodeau, Glenn Taylor Jr. and Michael Rataj each buried a 3-pointer to trim Utah's lead to 44-43.
Carlson made a layup and converted the three-point play to keep the Utes from falling behind. Anthony added a pair of baskets and a pair of free throws to fuel an 11-2 run that extended Utah's lead back to double digits at 55-45.
Utah pulled further away after holding Oregon State to a single basket over a 7 1/2-minute stretch. Carlson fueled an 11-2 run with a pair of baskets and two free throws to put the Utes up 72-55 with 4:58 left.
