Tyrece Radford and Wade Taylor IV each scored 21 points when No. 15 Texas A&M defeated Ohio State 73-66 in Columbus Friday.
Henry Coleman III scored 20 points, and Andersson Garcia grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with four points for the Aggies (2-0).
Bruce Thornton scored a career-high 24 points, and Jamison Battle dropped 10 for the Buckeyes (1-1).
Ohio State's last win over a Top 15 team was 86-63 at No. 15 Illinois on Feb. 24, 2022.
It was tied at 53 when Taylor had two baskets and Coleman, who had 11 rebounds, one compared to a free throw for Thornton to give the Aggies 59-54 lead with under six minutes to play.
The Buckeyes pulled to within 63-60 before Radford drained two free throws with 2:37 remaining, and with 1:17 left, Taylor made an off-balanced shot to extend the lead to 68-62, and the Aggies held on from there.
The Buckeyes had 10 blocks, their most since getting 10 at Wisconsin on Jan. 12, 2017.
Ohio State jumped to a 7-0 lead, but it belied the tightness of the first half, which had seven ties and four lead changes, although the Buckeyes were ahead for 16:12.
They had a chance to put a stamp on the opening 20 minutes when they went up 33-28 after Roddy Gayle Jr. had a dunk and a jumper with 1:58 to play, but the Aggies reeled off six straight points to take a 34-33 halftime lead.
Texas A&M got a bucket from Coleman, a pair of free throws by Garcia and two more from the line by Taylor.
The Aggies lead the series 3-1, with the most recent meeting a 70-47 win for Texas ATM at Madison Square Garden in 2007.
This was the Aggies' first game at Ohio State since 1957 and the first regular season trip to Columbus by an SEC opponent since Florida visited in 2011.
