AJ Storr scored 28 points to lead No. 13 Wisconsin to an 81-66 win over Michigan State in a Big Ten contest on Friday in Madison, Wis.
Storr shot 9 of 17 from the field overall, hit 3 of 8 attempts from 3-point range and went 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Steven Crowl added 15 points and seven rebounds for Wisconsin (16-4, 8-1 Big Ten), which has won nine of its past 10 games.
A.J. Hoggard scored 19 points for Michigan State (12-8, 4-5), which had a three-game winning streak end. Malik Hall added 13 points, Tyson Walker contributed 11 points and Jaden Akins had 10 points.
The Badgers shot 50.9 percent from the field overall (29 of 57), held a 35-25 rebounding advantage and saw nine different players score.
Michigan State shot 41.7 percent from the field overall (25 of 60). The Spartans' bench was outscored by the Badgers' reserves 22-11.
The Badgers swept the regular-season series with Michigan State after winning 70-57 in East Lansing on Dec. 5.
Wisconsin held a 43-34 lead at halftime and grew the advantage in the second half, going up 53-41 with 15:46 remaining in the game after a 3-pointer by Storr.
The Badgers went up 62-46 with 12:01 left after a basket by Tyler Wahl, and then took a 69-51 edge with 9:27 remaining following a free throw by Chucky Hepburn.
Michigan State tried to get back in the game, going on an 8-2 run and pulling within 71-59 with 4:24 left following two free throws by Tyson Walker.
However, a 3-pointer by Crowl with 3:24 remaining stemmed the run and gave Wisconsin a 15-point edge.
Wisconsin never trailed, jumping out to a 17-9 lead 7 1/2 minutes into the game. Michigan State climbed within 28-24 with 5:56 remaining until halftime on a trey by Akins, but Wisconsin surged back ahead by 11 with 2:32 left in the first half.
