While TCU returning all five starters from last year's NIT Championship team has certainly helped, sometimes all it takes is a dominant performance from one player to keep a winning streak going. Coming off perhaps the most complete performance of his career, Kenrich Williams will try to lead the Horned Frogs to a regular-season tournament title Saturday when they face St. Bonaventure in the championship game of the Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Fla.

Williams posted his 23rd career double-double by halftime and continued to dominate after the break, finishing with season-high marks of 23 points and 17 rebounds as TCU held on for a 69-67 victory over New Mexico - its 10th straight victory dating back to last season. “He (Kenrich) was the guy who played with most poise on the offensive end. He’s the senior. He led with his actions and play … Fortunately, we had Kenrich who outrebounded pretty much everybody," Horned Frogs coach Jamie Dixon told reporters. The Bonnies continued to show impressive resiliency without their injured two-time All-Atlantic 10 point guard Jaylen Adams, getting a driving layup in the closing seconds from his replacement, Courtney Stockard, to pull off a 63-61 upset over Maryland. "It was a blue-collar approach. … We are not going to out-talent guys. We have a chance to out-work guys. That's what we did," Bonnies coach Mark Schmidt told reporters.

ABOUT TCU (5-0): Jaylen Fisher made his second straight start Friday in place ahead of Alex Robinson, who missed Monday's win over Omaha with a right foot bone bruise; while Robinson struggled (two points on 0-for-6 from the field), Fisher tallied 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go along with five assists. The Horned Frogs set season highs in rebounds (46) and blocked shots (nine), getting six boards and five blocks in 26 minutes from JD Miller. Desmond Bane continued his torrid start to the season on 5-of-8 shooting Friday; the sophomore guard is 27-of-36 from the field - including 13-of-19 beyond the arc - and has not shot worse than 62.5 percent in any game this season.

ABOUT ST. BONAVENTURE (3-1): Adams, who led the team in scoring last season with 20.6 points per game but has yet to play in 2017-18 after spraining an ankle in an exhibition game, is not expected to play in Saturday's title game. Playing in only his second game with the Bonnies since arriving as a junior college transfer, Stockard returned from a two-game absence because of groin and hip strains to finish with 14 points and five assists. Matt Mobley (team-high 22.8 points) had an off-night by his standards, fouling out late after scoring a season-low 16 points on 3-of-12 from the field (0-for-5 from long-range) after shooting 50 percent from the floor and beyond the arc in the Bonnies' two previous victories.

TIP-INS

1. Only Grand Canyon (11) and North Carolina (11) have longer active winning streaks than TCU.

2. The Bonnies went 0-for-7 beyond the arc versus the Terrapins after entering Friday averaging 9.6 3-pointers over their first three contests.

3. Miller entered Friday with one block in 83 minutes and had not recorded more than two in a game since swatting five in his college debut Nov. 13, 2015.

PREDICTION: TCU 73, St. Bonaventure 69
