North Carolina State has rebounded nicely from a season-opening, overtime loss to Atlantic Coast Conference rival Georgia Tech. Playing a fifth of six straight home games to start the season, the Wolfpack seek a fourth straight win when Alcorn State visits Tuesday.

N.C. State has dispatched Detroit Mercy, Florida International and St. Francis Brooklyn by an average of 19.7 points due in large part to C.J. Bryce. The 6-5 senior had 22 points and 11 rebounds in a 95-64 rout of St. Francis on Saturday to lift his season marks to 20.3 points on 60 percent shooting and 8.5 rebounds. The Wolfpack rank 13th in the nation in KenPom's adjusted offensive efficiency ratings (109.1 points/100 possessions) and 31st in turnover percentage (15.3) - both tops in the ACC. Alcorn State caught a break Saturday when Memphis freshman James Wiseman did not play after dropping his appeal to the NCAA, but it didn't help much as the No. 20 Tigers pummeled the Braves 102-56.

ABOUT ALCORN STATE (1-3): Isaiah Attles turned in a career-high 13 points against the Tigers and leading scorer Troymain Crosby (14 points per game) also reached double-figures with 10 points and five rebounds. The Braves were without senior Maurice Howard (10.7 points, 3.7 assists), a SWAC preseason All-Conference selection, due to an injury sustained earlier in the week at practice. The Braves are struggling from the floor, shooting 38 percent overall and 31 percent beyond the arc.

ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA STATE (3-1): D.J. Funderburk (17 points), Devon Daniels (13 points), Manny Bates (12 points) and Jericole Hellems (12 points) also put up double-digit scoring efforts against St. Francis. Funderburk averages 14 points on 75 percent shooting and seven rebounds, while Daniels averages 13.3 points. Point guard Markell Johnson runs the show, averaging 7.3 points to go along with an ACC-best 7.7 assists all while shooting just 23 percent.

TIP-INS

1. Alcorn State's only win has come against non-Division I school Paul Quinn.

2. N.C. State totaled a season-high nine steals and forced 20 turnovers against St. Francis that were turned into 29 points.

3. Johnson's 22.9 shooting percentage is tied for fourth lowest in the country and worst among major conference players. Alcorn State G Corey Tillery's 23.9 percentage is eighth lowest.
