If Steven Enoch can give No. 2 Louisville a consistent inside scoring presence to complement a plethora of wing players, the Cardinals will have an added dimension to their offense that will pay dividends in March. Enoch seeks a fourth double-digit scoring effort of the season and Louisville goes for a 54th straight home win in November when South Carolina Upstate visits on Wednesday.

Enoch shot 7-of-9 from the floor and scored 15 points in just 23 minutes in Sunday's 87-58 win over North Carolina Central to post his sixth double-digit scoring game in his last seven contests dating to last season. The 6-10 big man is averaging 11.8 points on 61 percent shooting and 10.3 rebounds this season after averaging 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds last season. "In the first half, it was a product of we were throwing the ball to Steve, and he was getting some work done," coach Chris Mack said afterward. "He’s a load for a team that’s not a high-major team. They just don’t have the size necessarily to combat it." The Cardinals shot a season-high 66.7 percent (30-of-45) from the floor - their highest since shooting 70 percent in a 94-67 win over Tulane in 1993.

ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA UPSTATE (1-4): The Spartans are still seeking their first Division I win of the season after getting whipped by Akron 76-45 on Wednesday - the third double-digit loss of the season. Guard Everette Hammond (11.6 points) is the only double-digit scorer, but the 6-2 sophomore is shooting 37 percent from the floor and is 3-for-19 on 3-pointers. The Spartans shoot 40 percent on 2-pointers, 23 percent on 3-pointers and 55 percent from the line.

ABOUT LOUISVILLE (4-0): The last time out, Jordan Nwora (20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds) scored 17 points in 21 minutes to lead the team in scoring for the fourth straight game and Dwayne Sutton (11.0 points, 5.8 rebounds) scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Point guard Darius Perry (7.5 points, 6.5 assists) scored a season-high 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting and added seven assists, but Mack wants to see more out of his on-court leader. "He just has to do some routine things better on the defensive end," Mack said. "He’s blessed with strength, toughness, length, athleticism ... I expect a lot of Darius, especially on the defensive end, because he should be our spirit. He should be the guy that really sets the tone."
