Arizona State has won six of its last seven games with the lone loss coming against defending national champion Virginia by three points in the championship game of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament in Uncasville, Conn. The Sun Devils will try for their fourth consecutive win on Wednesday night when they host defending SWAC champion Prairie View A&M.

Arizona State comes in off a 77-65 win over Louisiana on Saturday which despite the double-digit victory still had head coach Bobby Hurley frustrated. The Sun Devils shot just 41.8 percent, including a woeful 8-of-26 from 3-point range, and failed to put the visiting Ragin' Cajuns away after building a 38-26 halftime lead with both teams scoring 39 points after intermission. "We got baited into shooting some poor shots," Hurley told reporters. "We did have some open 3's that we missed badly, so when you look at 8-for-26, guys just start have to start hitting from 3, especially when you have a guy down low as productive as Romello." Romello is 6-8, 235-pound junior forward Romello White, who finished with a double-double, scoring a season-high 19 points while also grabbing a season-high 14 rebounds.
