Wisconsin looks to build on its best win of the season when it wraps up non-conference play at home to Rider on Tuesday. The Badgers earned their first road win of the campaign in impressive fashion as they knocked off Tennessee 68-48 on Saturday to record their largest margin of victory away from Madison in over four years, and they hope to continue their encouraging run by extending their home winning streak to seven games.

"It's about learning from your mistakes," Wisconsin guard Brevin Pritzl told reporters. "We've been in some battles on the road so you're battle-tested and you kind of know what isn't working." The Badgers have won 14 consecutive non-conference home games, including five in a row this season, and they hope to continue their dominance at the Kohl Center in their first-ever meeting with Rider. Wisconsin has held five of its six opponents to fewer than 65 points at home and hopes to use its defensive intensity to take down a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent for the first time since beating Siena in 2015. Rider saw its five-game winning streak come to an end following a 78-66 loss to Temple on Dec. 21, and it hopes to come back from the holiday break refreshed and primed for its second win over a Big Ten opponent in as many years after knocking off Penn State on Dec. 22, 2017.

"I think it's going to boost our confidence a lot," Trice told reporters. "It's going to build our resume come March and it's just good to get this win under our belt."
