Houston @ Temple preview
The Liacouras Center
Last Meeting ( Jan 31, 2019 ) Temple 66, Houston 73
With five straight victories, Houston will aim to extend its winning streak Tuesday against a Temple team with a very different mindset. The host Owls are coming off their worst loss of the season and are hoping to avoid their first losing streak of the campaign.
The Cougars' five-game winning streak includes four victories by double digits, as well as a win over a ranked Washington squad. Now the Cougars must play three of their next four on the road, beginning with a trip to Temple, where they suffered their first loss last season after opening the campaign 15-0. The Owls' Quinton Rose scored a game-high 22 points in that one despite 6-of-18 shooting - a theme that has continued into this season. The senior guard is the team's leading scorer at 14.1 points but is only shooting 35.7 percent from the floor and has not shot above 43 percent in any game this season.
