Last Meeting ( Feb 6, 2019 ) Texas A&M 71, Mississippi 75

Buzz Williams' first year at Texas A&M has been filled with ups and downs. After dropping their SEC season opener at Arkansas, the Aggies will try to even their conference mark and get over .500 overall when they host Ole Miss on Tuesday.

Williams managed to beat one power-conference team in Oregon State 69-49 in the middle of a three-game winning streak during the Christmas break. However, prior to the win streak, Texas A&M had dropped four straight, including games against Harvard, Temple and Fairfield. Ole Miss, on the other hand, had its four-game winning streak snapped Saturday against No. 23 Wichita State 74-54 as leading scorer Breein Tyree and KJ Buffen got in first-half foul trouble and the Rebels found themselves in a 39-24 hole at the half.

TIME: 9 p.m. ET. TV: SEC Network

ABOUT OLE MISS (9-4, 0-0 Big 12): Senior guard Tyree (16.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists) scored just nine points on 2-of-9 shooting against the Shockers - his second straight nine-point effort after reaching double figures in nine of 10. Junior Devontae Shuler (10.8 points) was just 4-of-12 from the floor for 12 points - his fifth straight double-figure game - as the Rebels shot 31 percent. Junior forward Khadim Sy (9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds) scored 12 points to reach double figures for the sixth consecutive game; he also tied a career high with three blocks.

ABOUT TEXAS A&M (6-6, 0-1): Josh Nebo (11.3 points, 7.7 rebounds) had his fourth double-double and third in four games in Saturday's loss, scoring 10 points and collecting 13 rebounds, while freshman Andre Gordon (6.9 points) added a team-high 15 points. Texas A&M shot 46.7 percent from the floor, marking the third-highest shooting percentage for a game this season. However, the Aggies are the worst 3-point shooting team in the country, shooting 23.8 percent beyond the arc, although nearly 41 percent of their shots are from deep.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Ole Miss won last year's contest 75-71 behind 22 points from Tyree. Wendell Mitchell scored 23 for the Rebels.
