Seton Hall @ Xavier preview
Cintas Center
Last Meeting ( Feb 20, 2019 ) Xavier 70, Seton Hall 69
Seton Hall has won four straight games - the last two since the return of star guard Myles Powell - and looks to ride the momentum into Wednesday's affair with Xavier. The host Musketeers have won three of their last four, suffering only a road loss to Villanova, and their matchup with the Pirates is the second game of a three-game homestand.
The Pirates sit at 2-0 in the Big East after defeating DePaul and Georgetown since the return of Powell, who averages 21.2 points per game. The senior missed a couple of weeks with a concussion before returning to score 42 points over the last two outings. "I feel like we're showing everybody that the team that they thought was one of the best teams in the country. We feel like we're finally playing like one," Powell said in a recent interview with NCAA.com's Andy Katz. Xavier is coming off an eight-point win against St. John's behind Naji Marshall's 20 points.

ABOUT SETON HALL (10-4, 2-0 Big East): While Powell is the clear star for the Pirates, the team has two other double-digit scorers, although only one of them is healthy. Quincy McKnight averages 11.1 points and had his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 boards versus Georgetown. Sandro Mamukelashvili (10.9 points) has been out for a month with a broken wrist, putting more pressure on the likes of Romaro Gill, who had 17 points, eight rebounds and four blocks against the Hoyas.
ABOUT XAVIER (12-3, 1-1): In the win over the Red Storm, Marshall nearly had a double-double with 20 points and eight rebounds but also committed eight turnovers - his 14th multiple-turnover game in 15 outings. KyKy Tandy had a career-high 12 points against St. John's, making four 3-pointers to earn the approval of coach Mike Anderson. "You're always going to have an unsung hero, and today it was KyKy," Anderson said. "He hit some big shots for them, made some big momentum plays."
