In one month's time, Ohio State has gone from being ranked No. 2 in the country to a tie for last place in the Big Ten heading into Tuesday night's home game against Nebraska. The 19th-ranked Buckeyes are desperate for a victory after their skid reached four games with a 66-54 loss at Indiana on Saturday.

Ohio State has fallen so quickly that even Nebraska sits one game ahead of the Buckeyes in the conference standings. Forward Kyle Young returned less than two weeks after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix to play 22 minutes against Indiana but managed to contribute only one point and his presence didn't help Ohio State overcome its recent scoring woes. The Buckeyes have finished with no more than 59 points in any of their last four losses. Nebraska also encountered problems on the offensive end of the court Saturday, turning in a clunker with a 62-57 loss at Northwestern just a few days after knocking off Iowa, but the Cornhuskers are averaging 72.8 points per game this season.

ABOUT NEBRASKA (7-9, 2-3 Big Ten): Sophomore Cam Mack provided the Cornhuskers with his fourth double-double in Big Ten play with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss at Northwestern. The junior college transfer averages 12.7 points, 6.8 assists and 4.9 rebounds, and his 2.45 assists-turnovers ratio ranks third in the Big Ten. Nebraska has struggled to establish consistency, alternating wins and losses in its last six games, and has yet to win a true road game this season (0-4).

ABOUT OHIO STATE (11-5, 1-4): Coach Chris Holtmann said Monday that he doesn't expect wholesale lineup changes in an attempt to get his team out of its funk. Turnovers have hurt the Buckeyes in recent games and did so again Saturday when they committed 16, including seven by freshman guard D.J. Carton. Senior Andre Wesson played well against Indiana with 15 points and seven rebounds, and his brother, Kaleb, remains Ohio State's leading scorer and rebounder after he finished with 11 and 10 against the Hoosiers, but the junior forward made only 3-of-11 shots from the field and had four turnovers.

1. Ohio State leads the Big Ten in 3-pointers with 8.8 per game and Nebraska is third with 8.5.

2. Mack's 6.8 assists per game ranked 12th nationally entering Monday, and he has one triple-double and four double-doubles this season.

3. Struggling G Duane Washington Jr. remains Ohio State's second leading scorer (10.7 points per game) despite playing only eight minutes Saturday against Indiana because "I just did not feel like he was ready to play. ... I thought his effort was pretty poor," Holtmann told reporters.
