Last Meeting ( Feb 1, 2019 ) Maryland 61, Wisconsin 69

No. 17 Maryland looks to bounce back from its worst offensive performance since joining the Big Ten when it visits Wisconsin on Tuesday. The Terrapins shot 32 percent from the field en route to its lowest offensive output since joining the conference six years ago in the 67-49 loss to Iowa on Friday, and they hope to rediscover their shooting touch by recording their first road win since Feb. 19, 2019.

"I've been doing this a long time and that ranks up there as one of the worst my teams have ever played," Maryland coach Mark Turgeon told reporters. "We have some guys that are really good players that need to act like they're really good players. Wisconsin bounced back from a disappointing 71-70 home loss to Illinois on Wednesday by knocking off then 20th-ranked Penn State 58-49 on Saturday. The Badgers have won five of their last six games, including a pair of victories over Top 25 opponents in that span, to right the ship after a 5-5 start, and they hope to add another quality win to their NCAA Tournament resume by taking down their third ranked team of the season. "In this league there are no easy nights so whether you have success or stumble a little bit, you've got to turn the page quickly," Wisconsin coach Greg Gard told reporters. "We do what we always do but we did it better and that was the main difference."

TIME: 9 p.m. ET. TV: ESPN2

ABOUT MARYLAND (13-3, 3-2 Big Ten): Jalen Smith was the lone Terrapin to finish in double figures as he scored 13 points and pulled down five rebounds in the loss to Iowa. Anthony Cowan, who leads the team in scoring (16.2) and assists (4.1), was limited to a season-low nine points on 2-of-10 shooting from the floor as Maryland was held to fewer than 50 points for the second time this season. "I'm not going to single one guy out as we didn't look like us," Turgeon said. "You have one night a year where you don't play well but at least you compete."

ABOUT WISCONSIN (10-6, 3-2): Micah Potter, who became eligible to play in late December after transferring from Ohio State, set new career highs with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the win against Penn State to register his first double-double of the season. Brad Davison also got into the act as he added 11 points and a season-high 13 boards to record his first double-double of the 2019-20 campaign. Kobe King scored 10 points and dished out four assists as the Badgers held the Nittany Lions to 32.7 percent shooting from the field.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Wisconsin is 5-1 since Potter joined the lineup.

2. Smith has scored in double figures in eight consecutive games.

3. The Badgers have won seven of their last nine Big Ten home games.

PREDICTION: Wisconsin 69, Maryland 65
