Last Meeting ( Mar 14, 2019 ) Iowa State 83, Baylor 66

After an historic win over No. 7 Kansas, second-ranked Baylor looks to build on a great start to its season when it hosts Iowa State on Wednesday. The Bears snapped a 16-game losing streak at Allen Fieldhouse in the 67-55 victory on Saturday and defeated a top five team on the road for the first time in program history.

"I knew at some point Baylor was going to win up here, and I was just hoping that I would get to be a part of it," Baylor coach Scott Drew told reports. "I'm really pleased with this group because they've worked extremely hard and played with a lot of toughness and poise today. ... Any time you beat a coach (Bill) Self team, you have to beat them, because they don't beat themselves." Baylor has won 12 straight games - the third longest active streak in the nation behind San Diego State (17) and Auburn (15) and are five away from the Bears' all-time mark of 17 set in 2011-12. Baylor is also the only team with five wins against AP Top 25 teams, going 5-0. Iowa State notched its first conference win Saturday by knocking off Oklahoma 81-68 in Ames after losses to TCU (81-79 in overtime) and Kansas (79-53) in its first two league contests.
