Last Meeting ( Mar 14, 2019 ) Texas 57, Kansas 65

Although Kansas was able to weather the storm on the road in its first game without Devon Dotson since he arrived on campus two years ago, it would just as soon not repeat the experience. The seventh-ranked Jayhawks hope the Big 12's leading scorer will be available to contribute in some fashion Saturday when they visit Texas.

Dotson (18.0 points, 4.4 assists, 2.3 steals) missed a significant part of the second half in last Saturday's 12-point home loss to No. 2 Baylor with a hip pointer - an injury painful enough to keep him from practicing for the next few days and sideline him for Tuesday's game in Oklahoma. The trio of Udoka Azubuike, Isaiah Moss and Marcus Garrett provided enough offense for Kansas to get by the Sooners, combining for 51 points in the Jayhawks' 66-52 victory. The Longhorns got off to a bit of a rough start in conference play with a pair of double-digit losses to Baylor and Oklahoma but have righted the ship with a consecutive double-digit wins after a 1-3 stretch. Texas is coming off one of its better showings of the season following Wednesday's 76-64 road victory at Oklahoma State, setting season highs with 15 3-pointers and 11 blocked shots.

TIME: 2 p.m. ET. TV: ESPN

ABOUT KANSAS (13-3, 3-1 Big 12): Coach Bill Self told the Kansas City Star that Dotson "looked really good" during a workout Wednesday, increasing the likelihood the sophomore point guard will be able to contribute in some capacity after watching his 20-game double-digit scoring streak come to an end against Baylor. Iowa graduate transfer Isaiah Moss (8.3 points) made his first start of the season in place of Dotson and tied a career high with six 3-pointers en route to a season-high 20-point performance. Azubuike (12.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.4 blocks), who tallied 16 points, 14 boards and three blocks versus the Sooners, has tallied at least 11 rebounds and three blocks in three of his last four outings.

ABOUT TEXAS (12-4, 2-2): Courtney Ramey (11.3 points) led the Longhorns' 3-point assault with a season-high tying four triples Wednesday and did a bit of everything versus the Cowboys, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds (one shy of his career high), six assists and a career-high tying two blocks. “He was terrific. Just his spirit, it’s two games in a row now where he’s really impacted us with an infectious spirit. … He had a rough stretch there in December where he wasn’t quite himself. … I think he's responded well," coach Shaka Smart told reporters. Sophomore forward Kamaka Hepa (3.2), who scored a career-high 15 points against Oklahoma State, joined the starting lineup five games ago and is 8-for-15 beyond the arc in the last three outings.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Tuesday's result gave Kansas its first back-to-back road victories in conference play since the Jayhawks opened Big 12 play in 2017-18 with three straight wins away from home.

2. The Longhorns are averaging 10 blocks and 12.5 3-pointers over their last two contests after totaling 11 triples and six blocks to begin league play.

3. The Jayhawks have limited opponents to fewer than 60 points nine times in 2019-20 after doing so a total of 12 times in 111 games over the previous three seasons combined.
