Last Meeting ( Feb 3, 2019 ) Wake Forest 37, Clemson 64

After having its three-game winning streak snapped that included wins over North Carolina and Duke, Clemson seeks a seventh straight win over Wake Forest on Tuesday in ACC action. Tigers coach Brad Brownell is 11-1 against the Demon Deacons since joining the program in 2010-11.

Clemson's highlight this year has been its 79-72 win over Duke last Tuesday - its first win over an AP top-3 ranked opponent since beating North Carolina on Feb. 18, 2001, but the Tigers couldn't match that effort in Saturday's 60-54 loss at North Carolina State, a team Clemson beat two weeks prior. “It’s hard to win when you go 9-for-23 at the free-throw line. It puts too much pressure on you," Brownell said. "We’ve got to finish more plays. We had a chance late. If you’re going to win these games, you have to make some of those.” The Demon Deacons conclude their only stretch of two games in three days of ACC play after beating Boston College 80-62 on Sunday. The Demon Deacons used a 24-4 run bridging the halves and Brandon Childress scored a game-high 20 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range.

ABOUT WAKE FOREST (9-8, 2-5 Big 12): Olivier Sarr (12.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.1 blocks) finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds Sunday after becoming the first Deacon since 2013-14 to post a first-half double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds). Freshman forward Ody Oguama (3.2 points, 4.2 rebounds) set career highs of 16 points and 10 rebounds to post his first career double-double, while fellow freshman Ismael Massoud (4.8 points) tied his career highs with 14 points and six rebounds. Sarr (78) and Childress (73) rank first and second in the ACC in free throws made and are the only power conference teammates to each have at least 70 made free throws this season.

ABOUT CLEMSON (9-8, 3-4): Aamir Simms (14.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists) became the first Clemson player over the last 20 seasons with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in consecutive games (North Carolina and Duke). The 6-7 junior had 18 points and 11 rebounds in his third double-double of the season against the Wolfpack and is averaging 17.3 points on 52.4 percent shooting, 8.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in conference action. Tevin Mack (12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds) and John Newman III (10.0 points) also average double figures.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Wake Forest leads the series 99-63 (28-19 at Littlejohn Coliseum), but its last win in the series was 2014 and the Deacons haven't won in Littlejohn since 2009.

2. Twenty-five percent of Wake Forest's points this season have come from the line - the third-highest percentage nationally. The Demon Deacons pace the ACC in free-throw attempts (24.5 per game) and is second in free throw percentage (73.8 percent).

3. Clemson has allowed ACC opponents to shoot 52 percent on 2-pointers - worst in the ACC - but they allow the fewest offensive rebounds (22 percent).
