No. 1 Baylor takes a 16-game winning streak into Wednesday night's Big 12 game at Iowa State. The Bears will be trying for their first 7-0 start to league play since 1958 when they began 10-0 in the old Southwest Conference.

Baylor, which is 5-0 in road games this season, also is trying to cap off its first undefeated month of January since going 6-0 in 1948. The Bears matched their best start in school history with a 17-1 record on Saturday when they cruised to a 72-61 victory at Florida in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, leading by as many as 19 points in the second half. "Credit the players for always wanting to represent the Big 12," said Bears coach Scott Drew on his postgame radio show. "We knew we had to come through. This is a difficult place to play. They had students camping out and tons of energy and excitement. They came out on fire but we responded like a veteran team." Iowa State has dropped three of its last four games, including a 80-76 loss at No. 16 Auburn on Saturday, trailing by as many as 18 points in the second half before going on a late 9-0 run to make it a two-possession game in the final minute.
