TCU has lost seven of its last eight games, but the one win in that stretch could be on the Horned Frogs' minds Monday when they visit Texas Tech in Big 12 play. TCU topped Texas Tech 65-54 back on Jan. 21 as Desmond Bane scored 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

"One of my favorite players in the Big 12, a guy that'll make a living playing basketball, a guy that's worked on his game and developed over the years," Texas Tech coach Chris Beard said following that game. "I have so much respect for Bane. He took the game over tonight. He was the best player on the floor." TCU has dropped five straight since that contest - four by double digits - and still has matchups with top 15 foes Baylor, Kansas and West Virginia remaining. Texas Tech, meanwhile, has won three of its last four and outscored Texas by 17 in the second half to post a quality come-from-behind win its last time out. "You have to give our offense credit a lot of credit the second half for taking care of the ball," Beard said after his team only committed two turnovers in the second stanza.

ABOUT TCU (13-10, 4-6 Big 12): TCU has gone 10 straight games without scoring more than 67 points, and the team was held to 46 in a 14-point loss to Kansas its last time out. Bane had a team-high 20 points versus the Jayhawks, while Kevin Samuel registered 10 rebounds and five blocks in a losing effort as the team shot just 35.2 percent from the field and 5-of-22 from 3-point range. R.J. Nembhard has scored in double figures in four of his last five games, but his 3-point shooting in the last seven contests (5-of-26) has been far from ideal.

ABOUT TEXAS TECH (15-8, 6-4): Texas Tech has four double-digit scorers on the season, led by Jahmi'us Ramsey (15.8 points), who shot a crisp 6-of-7 from the field for 18 points in the win over Texas. Davide Moretti (13.1 points) has averaged just nine points in the last three outings while shooting 8-of-25 from the field in that stretch. Kyler Edwards (11.8 points) went 0-of-5 from 3-point land against Texas and has missed 19 of his 25 3-pointers over the last six outings.
