No. 12 San Diego State aims to continue its unbeaten season when it hosts Fresno State on Wednesday in Mountain West play. The Aztecs and Auburn are the lone remaining teams not to suffer a loss but San Diego State could be tested by the Bulldogs, who have prevailed in each of their past three visits to the San Diego State campus.

San Diego State's 13-0 start trails only a school-best 20-0 run to open the 2010-11 season behind current NBA star Kawhi Leonard. Though the Aztecs defeated Cal Poly 73-57 on Saturday, they shot just 22.2 percent from 3-point range and the win was sparked by a defense that forced a season-best 23 turnovers. “Well for the game after Christmas, I thought our energy was good," San Diego State coach Brian Dutcher told reporters afterward. "We just couldn't make a shot. We had some open looks and we shared the ball well but when the ball is not going in obviously, it becomes a challenge." Fresno State's two conference losses were in overtime - at home to UNLV and at Utah State.

ABOUT FRESNO STATE (4-9, 0-2 Mountain West): The Bulldogs are coming off a disappointing 60-57 home loss to UC Riverside in a contest in which freshman forward Orlando Robinson established season highs of 27 points, five blocked shots and four 3-pointers. "I've become more comfortable with the pace of college basketball and I feel that as each game went on I could compete at a high level," Robinson told reporters after the setback. "I saw myself being able to compete at a high level, and it's just changed. My mindset has changed, and the way I work has changed because I have to work hard for me to produce these numbers for my team." Bulldogs coach Justin Hutson admits to being frustrated, but said he is unsure if his players are struggling with confidence due to the poor start.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE (13-0, 2-0): Junior guard Malachi Flynn has been the standout for the Aztecs and he leads the squad in scoring (15.5), assists (5.5), 3-pointers (31) and steals (23). The Washington State transfer has made multiple 3-pointers in nine straight games and 12 of 13, and has three 20-point outings to his credit. Senior big man Yanni Wetzell, a transfer from Vanderbilt, is averaging 14.3 points over the past three games and has season averages of 11.2 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 58.8 percent from the field.
