Texas Tech's win against a ranked Northwestern team on Sunday is now a distant memory for the undefeated Red Raiders. They have quickly turned their attention to Wednesday's visit from high-scoring Wofford.

"(Alabama football coach) Nick Saban has the 24-hour rule," Texas Tech coach Chris Beard said Sunday. "As much as I respect coach Saban, we have a 12-hour rule. We try to enjoy a win for 12 hours, and we try to learn from a loss for 12 hours. Then we move on to the next game." The Red Raiders have shown a solid defense and balanced offense during their hot start. Texas Tech is holding opponents to 31.3 percent shooting from the field -- ranked second nationally through Monday's games -- and have allowed more than 50 points just once. The Red Raiders' defense will be tested by junior guard Fletcher Magee, who leads the country with 24 made 3-pointers.

ABOUT WOFFORD (3-2): Magee leads the Terriers with 24.0 points per game, shooting 56.8 percent from the floor and 52.2 percent from the 3-point line. Magee averaged 28.7 points last week -- including a 32-point performance with seven 3s in a 79-65 loss at California -- to earn Southern Conference player of the week honors. Forward Cameron Jackson leads three other Terriers in double figures with 13.8 points and a team-best 6.4 rebounds.

ABOUT TEXAS TECH (4-0):
Senior guard Keenan Evans leads the Red Raiders with 19.5 points and is the only player averaging double figures. Six other players average at least six points, including freshman Zhaire Smith (9.3) and senior Zach Smith (6.5, team-best 5.8 rebounds). The Smiths (Zhaire with three and Zach with eight) have the majority of Texas Tech's 20 blocks while the Red Raiders are forcing 19 turnovers per game.

TIP-INS

1. Evans has scored in double figures in 24 consecutive games, the longest streak by a Red Raider since Ronald Ross had 25 straight in 2004-05.

2. Wofford averaged 58.5 points in losses to South Carolina and California while averaging 95 points against North Florida and lower-level opponents Bob Jones University and Washington & Lee.

3. Texas Tech has allowed 19 3-pointers, holding opponents to 22.9 percent shooting from long range.

PREDICTION: Texas Tech 78, Wofford 58
