Villanova is following a familiar script as the team is one win away from claiming its seventh straight in-season tournament. The No. 15 Wildcats aim to capture the championship at the Myrtle Beach Invitational when they wrap up their time in South Carolina with a matchup against No. 23 Baylor on Sunday.

Villanova has knocked down a combined 28 3-pointers in wins over Middle Tennessee and Mississippi State since arriving in Myrtle Beach as it seems intent on shooting their way to another title. "It means everything because we play for those who came before us," Wildcats freshman Jeremiah Robinson-Earl told reporters. "And those guys have gone through everything and they've set the tone for us to go out there and play Villanova basketball for 40 minutes every night." Robinson-Earl had a team-high 22 points with 9-of-12 shooting in Friday's victory over Mississippi State, while Saddiq Bey contributed 17 points and was 7-of-10 from the floor. Baylor defeated Coastal Carolina 77-65 in Friday's semifinals behind MaCio Teague's 21 points.
