TCU looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it battles Wyoming on Tuesday in the consolation game of the MGM Resorts Main Event in Las Vegas. The Horned Frogs won their first four contests of the campaign but let a 15-point lead slip away in Sunday's 62-60 overtime loss to Clemson.

TCU led 52-37 with 7:39 left in regulation but committed six turnovers and didn't score again prior to the overtime. "I think we had some ill-advised turnovers for sure," senior guard Desmond Bane told reporters afterward. "We're a young team and we're playing together, but this will be something we learn from. Our ball security is something we've preached since offseason and I don't think we did a good enough job today taking care of the ball." Bane missed two free throws with 4.7 seconds left in regulation to put a damper on a strong performance which included 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for his second straight double-double of the season. Wyoming fell 56-41 to Colorado in its Sunday night game as it committed a season-worst 19 turnovers and shot just 31.9 percent from the field.

ABOUT WYOMING (3-4): The Cowboys played Colorado to a 15-15 halftime tie but their shots never started falling and the miscues kept piling up. "We talked about the battle of the defenses," Wyoming coach Allen Edwards said afterward. "I thought in the second half they were a little more aggressive and we struggled on the boards. We didn't do a job of taking care of the basketball." Sophomore guard Hunter Maldonado scored 14 points against the Buffaloes and he is the lone Wyoming player scoring in double digits (16.1) this season.

ABOUT TCU (4-1): Bane leads the Horned Frogs with a 17.2 scoring average - he ranks 12th in school history with 1,339 career points - and he also contributes 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Sophomore guard RJ Nembhard is averaging 13.4 points while sophomore center Kevin Samuel leads the team in rebounding (9.6) and blocked shots (13 totals) while scoring 12.6 points per game and shooting a team-high 76.3 percent. Senior reserve guard Edric Dennis scored a season-high 18 points against Clemson to raise his average to 10 per game.
