South Florida set a season low for points scored in Tuesday's semifinals of the Cayman Islands Classic, while Nebraska wasn't much better in its semifinal affair. The teams are back on the court Wednesday to play the consolation game of this event before returning to the states.

USF managed only 45 points in Tuesday's 20-point defeat to New Mexico State - a particularly poor performance for a team that has yet to surpass 70 points in any of its six games. The Bulls had as many turnovers (16) as field goals and were outscored 33-15 at the 3-point line. Nebraska, meanwhile, was knocked off by George Mason 85-66 on Tuesday, marking the team's fewest points since the season opener. The Cornhuskers were dominated on the boards, 49-26, and their 15 turnovers didn't help matters either.

ABOUT USF (3-3): After giving up 55 points in each of their previous two games, the Bulls let New Mexico State shoot 48 percent from the field and 11-of-21 from 3-point range. Laquincy Rideau was the only player in double figures with 11 points and was the only Bulls player to make multiple 3-pointers. Among those who struggled for USF was Justin Brown (two points on 1-of-8 shooting), who had shot 10-of-16 for 27 points over the previous two outings.

ABOUT NEBRASKA (3-3): The Cornhuskers had four players in double figures Tuesday led by Dachon Burke Jr., who recorded 14 points and had five of the team's nine steals. Haanif Cheatham added 13 points and did not commit a turnover in 31 minutes. Jervay Green was 1-of-7 from the field and 0-of-5 from the 3-point line after scoring a combined 38 points on 7-of-11 3-point shooting in the previous two games.

TIP-INS

1. Kevin Cross gave Nebraska a lift off the bench Tuesday with three 3-pointers and 11 points.

2. Bulls F Michael Durr had four blocks against New Mexico State after entering with two blocks on the year.

3. Rideau has scored at least 10 points in every game so far this season.

PREDICTION: Nebraska 70, South Florida 59
