Tulane got 24 points from Cameron Reynolds and reached the century mark in its season-opening win over LIU-Brooklyn. The Green Wave will be back on the court looking to go 2-0 when they host state rival Southeastern Louisiana on Monday.

Reynolds was one of six Tulane players to hit for double figures in the 102-96 opening victory. The Green Wave also got solid contributions from newcomers Samir Sehic and Jordan Cornish, who each scored 17 points in their Tulane debuts. Cornish, a transfer from UNLV, played 35 minutes while Sehic, a 6-9 forward, grabbed 14 rebounds in 23 minutes coming off the bench. Southeastern Louisiana also lit up the scoreboard, winning its opener 99-67 over Centenary on Friday.

ABOUT SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA (1-0): The Lions had five players in double figures and shot 53.7 percent from the field in their dominant opening win. Senior guard Eddy Polanco led Southeastern with 18 points as the Lions matched the most points they've scored in a season opener in eight years. Jordan Capps, who was injured in the second game last season and missed the rest of the campaign, scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting in 18 minutes.

ABOUT TULANE (1-0): Reynolds, a redshirt senior and the American Athletic Conference Most Improved Player of the Year, is one of three starters to return for the Green Wave. Tulane took the lead for good in its opener midway through the first half and built as much as a 17-point advantage in the second half but surrendered 58 points after intermission and had to fend off the Blackbirds down the stretch. Ray Ona Embo added 11 points and handed out a career-high nine assists, while Colin Slater chipped in 10 points and four rebounds.

1. Junior G Melvin Frazier scored 19 points in the season-opening win for Tulane.

2. Monday will be the first of six straight road games for Southeastern Louisiana.

3. Tulane beat city rivals LSU and Loyola-New Orleans in the preseason.
