Thanks to losses by defending national champion North Carolina (to Michigan State) and Grand Canyon (to San Diego) over the weekend, TCU heads into Wednesday night's home game with Belmont sporting the nation's longest active winning streak. The Horned Frogs, who defeated St. Bonaventure 89-79 in the championship game of the Emerald Coast Classic on Saturday night in Niceville, Fla., have won 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.

TCU entered the 2017-18 season with a five-game win streak after winning the NIT, defeating Georgia Tech 88-56 in the title game. The Horned Frogs were nearly upended in the semifinals of the Emerald Coast Classic by New Mexico, holding on for a 69-67 win over the Lobos when junior guard Chris McNeal missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer as time ran out. TCU, behind 20 points by point guard Jaylen Fisher, who is coming back from knee and hand injuries that sidelined him for over four months in the off season, was never really threatened down the stretch in the title game against the Bonnies. "We're seeing Jaylen get in that groove now," Horned Frogs coach Jamie Dixon said.
