TCU has not been to the NCAA Tournament since 1998 and, while that streak almost certainly will end this season, the team has much, much bigger plans. The 14th-ranked Horned Frogs look to break the school record with their 16th straight win Monday against visiting Texas Southern.

With second-year coach Jamie Dixon at the helm, TCU won all five of its games en route to the NIT title last season and has opened the current campaign with 10 straight victories, making it one of four undefeated teams in Division I. One more win will match the program-record 16 straight victories set in 1998 as the team continues its march for a potential deep run in March Madness. “At the end of the day, our goal is to win every game, anyway,” senior guard Kenrich Williams said in reference to TCU's all-time record for consecutive wins. “I don’t want to lose any games. So no, there’s no pressure.” The Horned Frogs should have a good shot at earning another win against a Tigers team that is opening its season on a 13-game road trip, during which it is currently 0-11.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, Fox Sports Southwest

ABOUT TEXAS SOUTHERN (0-11): The most recent road game for Texas Southern came against Wyoming, which led by one with under a minute left before going on to win 72-66. Demontrae Jefferson had a team-high 27 points for the Tigers and leads the squad in scoring (22.8) while shooting 42.3 percent from 3-point range, including 8-of-15 in the last two games. Donte Clark is second on the team in scoring at 16.1 points but is only shooting 36.9 percent from the field - the worst mark of his four-year career.

ABOUT TCU (10-0): Five players average double-digit points for TCU, led by Williams (14.2), Vladimir Brodziansky (13.3), Desmond Bane (13.2) and Jaylen Fisher (12.0), all of whom shoot at least 40 percent from 3-point range. Bane is the best of the bunch at 55.8 percent but is coming off a season-low five-point effort in a win over Nevada on Dec. 9. The Horned Frogs have had over a week to shore up their defense after allowing 80 points against the Wolf Pack - their second straight game allowing at least 80 points after never doing it once in their first eight contests.

TIP-INS

1. Fisher was 3-of-3 from 3-point range against Nevada after going 1-of-8 in his previous three games.

2. Entering Sunday's action, TCU ranked 17th in the nation in scoring and seventh in assists.

3. Williams, a 6-foot-7 guard, is averaging 10.1 rebounds and already has six double-doubles this season.

PREDICTION: TCU 83, Texas Southern 62
