Boise State plays just its second road game of the season in its final nonconference tuneup for Mountain West Conference play when it travels to SMU on Monday night. It will be tough for the Broncos to top their first one.
Boise State snapped Oregon's NCAA-best 46-game homecourt win streak, 73-70, on Dec. 1 thanks to a buzzer-beating half-court shot by senior guard Lexus Williams. Now the Broncos will take aim at SMU's 29-game win streak at Moody Coliseum which includes a 72-55 victory over then No. 14 USC on Dec. 3 in a rematch of their NCAA tournament first-round game. Williams, a 6-foot grad transfer from Valparaiso, proved his game-winner against the Ducks was no fluke when he made another big 3-pointer to send the game into overtime Wednesday night in an eventual 85-80 double-overtime win over WAC favorite Grand Canyon. "As soon as I got the ball in my hands, I knew that I wanted to put it up," Williams said. "I wasn't scared in the moment, and thank God it went in."
