Florida State puts its 28-game home winning streak on the line Wednesday when the Seminoles host Louisville in their second ACC home game of the season. Both schools come off weekend losses as Florida State fell to 1-2 in conference play following an 80-74 defeat at the hands of No. 19 Miami, while the Cardinals come off just their second setback in their last nine games, a 74-69 overtime loss to 17th-ranked Clemson.

Louisville is one of just four schools (Kansas, Duke and Gonzaga) boasting 20 or more victories in each of the last 15 seasons and the Cardinals are well on their way to extending that to 16, but they need to cut down on their turnovers after giving the ball away a season-high 21 times against the Tigers, the team's most since committing 24 against Seton Hall in 2012. Deng Adel has scored in double figures in 17 of his last 18 games dating back to last season, and Adel (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Ray Spalding (16 points, 14 rebounds) each produced double-doubles to lead the Cardinals in the OT loss to Clemson. The Seminoles have been up and down of late, reaching the high with their win over No. 18 North Carolina last Wednesday, followed by a low of their loss to Miami that knocked the Seminoles out of the Coaches Poll. "What's good about the ACC is that you can't sit around and have a pity party," Seminoles coach Leonard Hamilton said after the setback. "So, what we have to do is learn from this game and move on ... prepare ourselves for what looks like a week of murderer's row."

ABOUT LOUISVILLE (11-4, 1-1 ACC): While Adel leads the Cardinals in scoring with 15.1 points per game, Spalding has been a monster on the boards, grabbing at least eight rebounds in 10 of the last 12 games to rank fifth in the ACC with an average of 9.5 per game, nearly double last season's 5.5 average. The Cardinals finished Monday ranked second in the nation in blocked shots per game (7.7) and third with 115 blocks, with center Ana Mahmoud sitting fourth in the country with 55 and Spalding adding 31. Quentin Snider ranks second on the team in scoring (12.4 points per game) and leads the team with 60 assists.

ABOUT FLORIDA STATE (12-3, 1-2): The Seminoles shot a season-low 36 percent in the loss to Miami, but they still came close to pulling out the victory after slashing a 16-point second-half deficit to four in the final minute.. The Seminoles were aided by strong play on the offensive glass, where they amassed 21 rebounds, and they finished with a 44-32 rebound advantage, their third double-figure rebounding margin of the season. Senior Braian Angola had 16 points to lead four Seminoles in double figures.
