Clemson shoots for a second consecutive win as it visits rebuilding Pittsburgh on Wednesday evening. The Tigers are coming off a win over Boston College on Saturday, while the Panthers will be hoping to snap a 10-game losing streak.

Senior guard Marcquise Reed scored a career-high 31 points as Clemson got a much-needed 76-66 win over BC to snap a three-game losing streak. Reed also chipped in with nine rebounds, four assists and five steals in what was his best offensive game since scoring 26 when the Tigers and Panthers met on Jan. 29. Clemson won that matchup 82-69 at home, sending Pitt to its fourth consecutive loss and the Panthers haven’t notched a win since. Their latest setback came on Thursday as Georgia Tech snapped its own seven-game skid with a 73-65 win over the Panthers.

Senior forward Elijah Thomas added 14 points and 10 rebounds while senior guard Shelton Mitchell chipped in with 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting. The Tigers were efficient on offense all afternoon against BC, shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from the 3-point line while dishing out 15 assists

ABOUT PITTSBURGH (12-15, 2-12): The Panthers have found a lot of ways to lose basketball games over the last six weeks and this time it came at the free-throw line as they missed 18 against Georgia Tech. "We have to be able to step up and make free throws. We got to the line a lot. We've been a pretty good free-throw shooting team but tonight, for whatever reason, we didn't make free throws," coach Jeff Capel told the media after the loss. Senior guard Jared Wilson-Frame scored a team-high 19 on 6-of-11 shooting off the bench against the Yellow Jackets, while freshman Xavier Johnson chipped in with 14 points and six assists.
