Tenth-ranked Michigan looks to set a record for the most regular-season wins in program history when it visits No. 20 Maryland in the penultimate Big Ten regular-season game for both teams on Sunday. The Wolverines routed Nebraska 82-53 on Thursday to record their biggest margin of victory in 2018-19 after averaging 65 points over their previous 11 games and aim to complete the season sweep of the Terrapins following a 65-52 win on Feb. 16.

Michigan, which hopes to eclipse the 1985-86 squad's mark for the most regular season victories, sits one game behind 12th-ranked Purdue and tied with No. 8 Michigan State in the race for the conference title with the Spartans on deck next. Maryland is still in the mix for fourth place, which would clinch a double bye in the Big Ten Tournament despite a disappointing 78-61 loss to Penn State on Wednesday. The Terrapins were down by as many as 29 points to the Nittany Lions in the second half before showing some fight down the stretch to avoid their largest margin of defeat in coach Mark Turgeon's eight years with the program. "My guys have responded all year and I expect them to again," Turgeon told reporters. "We're 21-8 with the fifth-youngest team in basketball so I love my team."
