After seeing its 12-game conference home winning streak come to an end, TCU will look to get back in the victory column when it hosts Oklahoma on Saturday. The Horned Frogs forced overtime after being down 12 points in the second half against No. 14 Kansas on Monday but were outlasted 82-77 for their first home loss to a Big 12 opponent in over a year.

“I’m really proud of our guys for battling back,” TCU guard Desmond Bane told reporters after scoring a team-high 18 points. “Being down like that in the second half and coming back shows a lot about our guys. This was a game that we should have won.” The loss followed a pair of triumphs in which Bane averaged 21.5 points en route to earning Big 12 Player of the Week honors. Late-game execution once again was the Sooners’ downfall on Monday as their losing streak reached a season-high five games after a 59-53 setback against Baylor. “You’ve got to play really well to have a chance, and we haven’t played enough 40 minutes of basketball,” Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger told reporters after his team was held scoreless in the final two minutes of the defeat. “It seems like every game, we find a stretch or something that hurts us, and we’ve got to try to work through that.”

ABOUT OKLAHOMA (15-10, 3-9 Big 12): The Sooners were looking to avenge a 30-point home loss to Baylor on Jan. 28, but after shooting 48 percent and being tied at the break on Monday, they were stifled by the Bears’ defense and held to 30-percent shooting in the second half. Baylor went 10-for-22 from 3-point range while the Sooners went just 3-for-18, setting season lows for makes and 3-point percentage (18.8). Christian James registered 11 points and eight rebounds on Monday and enters the weekend ranked fifth in the Big 12 in scoring (15.4 points) and rebounding (seven).

ABOUT TCU (17-7, 5-6): Freshman Kendric Davis has recorded consecutive double-digit scoring performances for the first time as he finished with 16 points while adding a career-high seven assists on Monday. Alex Robinson notched 13 points and a team-high four steals, moving him into sixth place on the school's all-time list with 135. The five days off between games will be much needed by the Horned Frogs as three players set career highs in minutes played during Monday’s overtime loss – Bane (44), Davis (36) and Kouat Noi (42).
