Percival Molson Memorial Stadium

Last Meeting ( Jun 28, 2019 ) Montreal 10, Hamilton 41

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats look to knock off the Montreal Alouettes for the second time in six days when they visit la belle province Thursday. The Tiger-Cats cruised to a 41-10 victory over the Alouettes in Week 3 to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2004, and hope to remain unbeaten by taking down Montreal for the fifth time in their last six meetings.

"In order to be great you have to pay attention to the details and you can't be satisfied," Hamilton coach Orlondo Steinauer told reporters. "It would be easy to coast but we know we have a lot of work to do." The Alouettes are left to search for answers after another blowout loss to the Tiger-Cats. Montreal's last four defeats to Hamilton have come by an average margin of 32.5 points and hopes to patch up a leaky defence, which has surrendered more than 500 yards per game in 2019 as the Alouettes aim to avoid their first 0-3 start since 1996. "We have to look in the mirror and understand what we're doing out there," Montreal defensive back Tommie Campbell told reporters. "We have to understand our weaknesses in our defence and make them beat us."

TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, TSN, RDS

ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (3-0): Jeremiah Masoli continued his hot start to the season as he threw for 417 yards and a touchdown to go along with a pair of rushing scores against Montreal to surpass 400 yards passing for the third time in his career. Bralon Addison filled in admirably once more for an injured Luke Tasker as the former Oregon Ducks receiver caught eight passes for 121 yards after hauling in three touchdown passes in the previous week against the Toronto Argonauts. Tasker has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury and is questionable for Thursday while Hamilton added another wide receiver, signing Justin Sumpter to the practice roster.

ABOUT THE ALOUETTES (0-2): Vernon Adams Jr. completed 14-of-24 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown in his first start since Antonio Pipkin went down with an ankle injury in the season opener. Centre Luc Brodeur-Jordain, who has spent his entire 12-year CFL career with Montreal, announced he will retire immediately following Thursday's home opener while the team added kicker Tyler Crapigna to the practice roster Tuesday. Safety Taylor Loffler (knee) and linebacker Bo Lokombo (ribs) missed Friday's loss and are expected to be sidelined again while defensive end John Bowman is expected to play after suffering a head injury against the Tiger-Cats.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Hamilton hasn't started a season 4-0 since 1989.

2. Montreal has used three quarterbacks in the first two games.

3. The Tiger-Cats have outscored their opponents 128-41 in 2019.

PREDICTION: Tiger-Cats 34, Alouettes 21
