The Montreal Alouettes look to notch their first three-game winning streak since the tail end of the 2016 season when they host the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday. The Alouettes rebounded from an 0-2 start with back-to-back victories over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (36-29) and the Ottawa Redblacks (36-19) to climb back to .500 and hope the abrupt firing of general manager Kavis Reed doesn't rob them of their momentum as they look to avenge a 32-25 loss to the Eskimos in Week 1.

"There is a different feeling in this room and we love it," Montreal quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. told reporters. "Guys aren't giving up and pointing fingers this year." Edmonton returned from its bye week in impression fashion as it captured the season series with the BC Lions following a 33-6 win in Vancouver. The Eskimos were held without a touchdown in the 28-21 loss to the West-Division leading Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 3, but bounced back with three majors against the Lions and hope to stay on the right track by posting two straight road wins for the first time since Oct. 2017. "This team has been built from the beginning to worry about the process and not anything else," Edmonton coach Jason Maas told reporters. "We're playing for one another and that's what I'm most proud of."

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (3-1): Trevor Harris threw for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win against BC, while missing a series late in the second quarter after taking a low hit to his knee, but has been given the green light to play on Saturday. Natey Adjei caught four passes for 106 yards and a touchdown to record the first 100-yard receiving game of his six-year career while DaVaris Daniels had a TD reception after missing the previous three games with an injury. Starting offensive lineman Matt O'Donnell was placed on the six-game injured list on Tuesday after suffering a lower-body injury in the win against the Lions.

ABOUT THE ALOUETTES (2-2): Adams was named one of the CFL's Top Performers of the Week after throwing for a career-high 327 yards and a pair of touchdowns to go along with two rushing scores in the win against Ottawa. William Stanback gained 100 yards on 18 carries before leaving briefly with a hip injury, but the CFL's leading rusher is expected to play on Saturday while wide receiver DeVier Posey is questionable due to a sore ankle. Montreal brought back wide receiver Felix Faubert-Lussier two weeks after he was released following the departure of Reed, who was reportedly fired for trying to circumvent the league's salary cap rules.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Harris has thrown 218 straight passes without an interception.

2. Edmonton has recorded 16 sacks in four games.

3. Stanback is averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

PREDICTION: Eskimos 31, Alouettes 28
