The Calgary Stampeders look to make a late charge for their fourth consecutive West Division title when they visit the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday in the annual rematch after the Labour Day Classic. The return of star quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell provided a big spark for the Stampeders as they overtook the Eskimos in third place with a 25-9 win in the Labour Day Classic and hope to make a move for the division title by knocking off their provincial rivals for the third time this season.

"We wanted to come out and show everybody that we can be that top team in the league," Mitchell told reporters. "We always want to prove who we are against those guys." Edmonton's quest for its first West division title since 2015 took a hit following back-to-back losses to division rivals. The Eskimos dropped a 34-28 decision to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 11 before they were held to 265 yards of net offence en route to their eighth straight defeat in the Labour Day Classic and hope to get back on track by improving to 5-1 at home this season. "Everyone's got to take a good hard look in the mirror," Edmonton offensive lineman Matt O'Donnell told reporters. "Do we want to sit at home in November again or do we want to get our butts into the playoffs?"

ABOUT THE STAMPEDERS (6-4): Mitchell completed 19-of-28 passes for 263 yards and a touchdown after missing the previous seven games with a torn pectoral muscle. Ka'Deem Carey racked up a career-high 143 yards on 16 carries to register the first 100-yard rushing game of his first CFL season after sitting out the previous four contests with an ankle injury. Reggie Begelton continued his breakout season as he hauled in 10 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown to move into second place among the league leaders in receiving yards (842), just 20 behind Hamilton's Brandon Banks.

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (6-5): Trevor Harris went 27-of-35 for 216 yards and an interception against Calgary, but matched Ricky Ray's CFL record of 24 straight games with 20 or more completions. Harris also moved past Mike Kerrigan (21,714) for 29th place on the league's all-time passing yards list while Greg Ellingson caught three passes for 29 yards to extend his streak of games with at least one reception to 54. Edmonton failed to score touchdowns in five combined trips to the red zone in the losses to the Stampeders and Blue Bombers to put it at 14-for-32 (44 percent) on the season.

1. Calgary has won seven of the last nine overall meetings with Edmonton.

2. Harris is 0-8-2 as a starter against the Stampeders.

3. Begelton has caught 18 passes for 311 yards and five touchdowns over his last two games.
