The Toronto Argonauts look to clinch the East Division title when they close out the regular season on the road against the BC Lions on Saturday. The Argonauts edged the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 29-28 before their bye week to move on the cusp of claiming their first division crown in four years, and can host the East Division final on Nov. 19 by avenging a 28-15 setback to the Lions in Week 2.

Toronto has lost seven of its nine games against West Division opponents in 2017 and another setback would see the Ottawa Redblacks claim their third straight division title while the Argonauts would fall to second place and host either the Saskatchewan Roughriders or Edmonton Eskimos in the Eastern semifinal on Nov. 12. BC will miss the postseason for the first time since 1996 after dropping eight of its last 10 games. The Lions beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 36-27 in Week 19 to end a five-game slide, but the damage was already done and BC faces more questions than answers in the offseason, starting with whether head coach Wally Buono will be back on the sidelines in 2018. Buono, who is the winningest coach in CFL history, has a contract that runs until Feb. 1, 2018, but has remained coy about his future amid speculation that the team could be sold after the season ends.

ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS (8-9): Anthony Coombs caught 47 passes for 426 yards and a touchdown before undergoing shoulder surgery and is ready to return to the lineup after missing the last eight games. Ricky Ray completed 32-of-43 passes for 423 yards and a touchdown against Winnipeg to become the fourth player in CFL history to pass for 60,000 in his career. Defensive end Shawn Lemon, who has registered seven sacks in 11 games this season, has recovered from an undisclosed injury that has kept him out of the past six contests, and could return for the season finale.

ABOUT THE LIONS (7-10): Chris Rainey was named one of the CFL's Top Performers of the Week after he caught six passes for 89 yards and a pair of touchdowns to go along with a career-high 106 rushing yards in the win against Winnipeg. "Rainey is a special cat," Lions quarterback Jonathon Jennings told reporters. "He's a guy that is one of the most tremendous football players I have ever played with." Jennings had one of his best outings of the year as he threw for a season-high 408 yards and four touchdowns while Manny Arceneaux hauled in six passes for 101 yards to surpass 1,000 for the third straight season.

EXTRA POINTS

1. The Lions' last four losses have come by an average margin of 4.5 points.

2. Toronto WR S.J. Green needs one catch to become the fourth player in franchise history to reach 100 in a season.

3. Ray has thrown for more than 300 yards in four straight starts.

PREDICTION: Argonauts 33, Lions 27
