Last Meeting ( Aug 25, 2017 ) Saskatchewan 54, Edmonton 31

The Edmonton Eskimos look to improve their playoff position when they travel to Regina to battle the Saskatchewan Roughriders Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams. The surging Eskimos have won four consecutive games, including an impressive 29-20 victory against the Calgary Stampeders, and can finish anywhere from second to fourth place depending on their result against the Roughriders.

Edmonton could host the West Division semifinal if it beats Saskatchewan and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers fall to the Stampeders while a setback to the Roughriders would see the Eskimos finish fourth and cross over into the East Division. Saskatchewan is also jousting for postseason position and can overtake the Eskimos in third place with a win on Saturday. The Roughriders, who could end up as the crossover team with a loss, have won four of their last five games, including back-to-back victories over Calgary (30-7) and the Montreal Alouettes (37-12) to pull within two points of the Eskimos, and hold the tie breaker following a 54-31 win on Aug. 25. "The way we're playing right now it really doesn't matter which way we go," Saskatchewan defensive back Jovon Johnson told reporters. "East or West we will be a tough team to beat."

TV: 7 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (11-6): Mike Reilly threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns in the win against Calgary to move within 128 yards of setting a new franchise record for most passing yards in a single season. Adarius Bowman continues to pick up steam down the stretch as he caught two touchdown passes to give him three in two games after failing to find the end zone in his previous six contests. C.J. Gable rushed for 82 yards on 18 carries after missing the previous game with a muscle strain and has accounted for 297 yards on the ground since being acquired in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Oct. 2

ABOUT THE ROUGHRIDERS (10-7):
Trent Richardson, who won two national championships with the Alabama Crimson Tide before being selected third overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, rushed for 127 yards and the first two touchdowns of his CFL career against Montreal last week. Veteran wide receiver Chad Owens turned back the clock as he hauled in nine passes for 114 yards and a touchdown in his second game since missing 15 with a leg injury. Wide receiver Bakari Grant caught two passes for 26 yards in Week 19 and needs five more to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his seven-year career.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Edmonton WR Brandon Zylstra leads the CFL in receiving yards (1,615).

2. Reilly has thrown for over 300 yards in 12 games this season.

3. Saskatchewan DB Ed Gainey tops the league in interceptions (10).

PREDICTION: Eskimos 24, Roughriders 23
