Missouri Tigers vs Texas A&M Aggies Match Player Stats On Oct 29, 2011

James Franklin threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Lucas to lead Missouri to a come-from-behind 38-31 overtime victory over No. 16 Texas A&M on Saturday at Kyle Field.

Franklin, the sophomore quarterback, finished with four touchdowns, including two after halftime, to rally the Tigers (4-4, 2-3 Big 12) to their third straight win at College Station.

The loss was Texas A&M’s (5-3, 3-2 Big 12) first since dropping consecutive games to Oklahoma State and Arkansas in late September and early October. In those games, the Aggies blew second-half leads of 17 and 18 points, respectively.

On Saturday, they did it again.

Texas A&M led 28-17 at halftime behind four Ryan Tannehill touchdowns — three passing and one rushing — but again, they came out flat after the break. Missouri scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns on Franklin’s 8-yard rushing TD and Henry Josey’s 11-yard score that gave the Tigers a 31-28 lead with 7:38 left.

Josey, the Big 12’s rushing leader, finished with a game-high 158 yards on 20 carries for the Tigers, who won for just the second time in their last five games.

Texas A&M responded on the ensuing possession on Randy Bullock’s 35-yard field goal, and then Missouri’s Trey Barrow missed a 46-yard try at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime.

Missouri got possession first in overtime and put together a five-play scoring drive that culminated with Franklin’s pass to Lucas on 3rd-and-8. The Aggies, who fell to 5-3 all-time against Missouri at Kyle Field, couldn’t respond.

Tannehill’s pass on 4th-and-5 from the Missouri 20 ended the game as the Tigers’ defense stormed off the field in celebration.

Tannehill finished with 317 passing yards for the Aggies, who lost despite outgaining Missouri 500-478.
