Mike Bercovici tied a career high with five touchdown passes and led Arizona State to 491 total yards in a 48-23 victory over Colorado on Saturday night in Tempe, Ariz.
Bercovici, the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, completed 20 of 31 passes for 260 yards as the Sun Devils improved their record to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Pac-12. Colorado dropped to 3-3 and 0-2 after committing two turnovers and allowing eight sacks.
The Buffaloes, led by quarterback Sefo Liufau's 389 passing yards, were held to 49 yards rushing by the Sun Devils' defense.
Bercovici quarterbacked an offense that rushed for 231 yards, led by running back D.J. Foster's 80 yards on five carries, including a 63-yard burst in the fourth quarter.
Arizona State never trailed Colorado, which has lost 13 straight conference games on the road.
The Buffaloes, who had nine penalties for 88 yards, were in for a long night after Sun Devils tight end Kody Kohl picked up a fumble by Arizona State running back Demario Richard and ran it into the end zone from 28 yards on the team's first possession of the game.
Arizona State wide receiver Tim White finished with 144 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches. Colorado wide receiver Shay Fields caught five passes for 103 yards.
