No. 21 Wisconsin 48, Tennessee Tech 0: Joel Stave and Melvin Gordon paced the Badgers offense as they posted their 28th consecutive victory at home over a non-conference opponent.

Stave threw a career-high three touchdown passes, all of which came in the first half. Gordon had 140 yards on nine carries, including a 37-yard score in the first half for Wisconsin, which had five touchdown drives that lasted less than three minutes.

The Badgers' 3-4 defense had another strong effort under defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, who came to Wisconsin from Utah State along with coach Gary Andersen. Wisconsin (2-0) held Tennessee Tech to six first downs and 113 total yards.

Stave threw a 3-yard touchdown to Derek Straus along with 6-yard scores to Jared Abbrederis and Brian Wozniak and finished 24-of-29 for 219 yards and one interception. Abbrederis – a former quarterback – has three touchdowns on his ten receptions this season.

James White had a third-quarter touchdown and backup running back Corey Clement ran for two more scores in the fourth quarter for the Badgers, who finished with 387 yards rushing. Austin Tallant recorded the interception for the Golden Eagles (1-1), who fell to 0-29 against FBS opponents.
