No. 12 Louisiana State 56, Sam Houston State 0: Anthony Jennings threw three touchdown passes to Travin Dural - all in the first half - to help propel the host Tigers to a runaway win over the Bearkats.
Jennings finished 7-of-13 for 188 yards and Dural amassed 140 yards on those three grabs alone as Louisiana State (2-0) extended the nation's longest regular-season non-conference winning streak to 47 games. Leonard Fournette ran for 92 yards and one of the Tigers' four rushing touchdowns as the hosts piled up 340 yards on the ground.
Jared Johnson was hounded into an 8-for-25 effort with two interceptions for Sam Houston State (1-2), which entered the weekend ranked 13th in the FCS Coaches Poll. Yedidiah Louis was one of the few bright spots with four catches for 102 yards.
Jennings took the first snap for LSU and lofted a pass down the right sideline to Dural, who beat his man and scampered 94 yards for a tone-setting touchdown. The pair hooked up for a 28-yard score on the next possession and from 18 yards out early in the second to make it 27-0.
Backup quarterback Brandon Harris scored on a 46-yard run with 8:15 left in the first half for a 35-0 advantage and found Malachi Dupre for an 8-yard TD strike early in the fourth to stretch it to 49-0. Kenny Hilliard, who led the ground game in a comeback win over Wisconsin last Saturday, chipped in a short TD run moments later to cap the scoring.
