Oregon State 33, Hawaii 14: Sean Mannion threw four touchdown passes as the host Beavers bounced back after being upset by Eastern Washington.
Brandin Cooks had his way with the defense in the third quarter by catching two touchdown passes, and finished with seven receptions for 92 yards. Mannion was 31-of-43 for 372 yards with completions to 10 different receivers as Oregon State (1-1) shook off its 49-46 loss to the Eagles of the FCS last week.
Taylor Graham, who attempted 41 passes against USC, had 20 against the Beavers and completed just 10 of them for Hawaii (0-2). Clark Evans had the lone offensive touchdown for the Rainbow Warriors - one of his two receptions for the game.
Oregon State jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half after Mannion threw two scores to Kellen Clute and Richard Mullaney, but Hawaii rallied back to tie it at halftime. Julian Gener intercepted Mannion and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown followed by Evans' 15-yard score with 4:30 to go until intermission.
The Beavers' offense came alive in the second half as Mannion led two consecutive scoring drives to give Oregon State a two-score cushion that would hold up the rest of the night. Hawaii surrendered 19 unanswered points in the second half, including a safety recorded by Mana Rosa and Devon Kell - Oregon State's first since 2011.
