Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley added 73 yards rushing on just six carries as Georgia (2-1) rolled up 367 yards on the ground. Troy’s Dontreal Pruitt went 16-of-27 through the air for 158 yards while Georgia held the Trojans (0-4) to only 47 yards on the ground in 28 attempts. Troy, which has permitted 186 points in its first four games, gave up a pair of rushing touchdowns to backup quarterback Faton Bauta in the fourth quarter.

Troy drove inside the Georgia 10 on its first possession before missing a short field goal and Michel ran 6 yards for a score six plays later. The Trojans fumbled on their next offensive play, leading to a 9-yard scoring strike from Mason to Kenneth Towns, and Michel covered 83 yards on two runs – the final 8 for a touchdown – with 2:32 left in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs scored on all six drives in the first half and received a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown from freshman Isaiah McKenzie in the second quarter. Michel broke free on the left sideline for an 18-yard score before backup Brice Ramsey connected with Bennett for a 6-yard TD and a 45-0 halftime lead.
