No. 9 Texas A&M 42, Southern Methodist 13: Johnny Manziel totaled 346 yards and three touchdowns in less than three quarters of work and the Aggies rolled past the visiting Mustangs.
Manziel, who went 14-of-21 for 244 yards and rushed for 102 yards, was replaced after Texas A&M (3-1) took a 39-6 lead on the first drive of the third quarter. Malcome Kennedy had six catches for 83 yards and a score and Ben Malena rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Garrett Gilbert went 37-of-62 for 310 yards and Southern Methodist (1-2) turned the ball over three times. Keenan Holman had career highs of 10 catches and 133 yards and caught the Mustangs' lone touchdown.
Manziel rushed for a pair of 7-yard touchdowns and hit Kennedy for a 16-yard score as the Aggies built a 26-3 lead with 7:11 left in the first half. Toney Hurd Jr. forced a fumble on the Mustangs' next possession and Deshazor Everett returned it 12 yards for a touchdown.
Manziel had two runs for 27 yards and a 32-yard pass on Texas A&M's opening drive of the third quarter, setting up Malena's second touchdown run. Gilbert's 31-yard touchdown pass to Holman with 12:34 left in the game capped the scoring.
