Louisiana-Monroe 21, Texas State 14: Centarius Donald scored on a 10-yard run with 18 seconds remaining to lift the visiting Warhawks to a Sun Belt Conference victory.
Isaiah Newsome returned two interceptions for touchdowns for Louisiana-Monroe (3-4, 1-1 Sun Belt), which was limited to 192 total yards but took advantage of both turnovers and 15 penalties for 156 yards against Texas State. Warhawks quarterback Brayle Brown completed 16-of-32 passes for 112 yards and Donald rushed for a team-high 45 yards.
Texas State's Robert Lowe rushed for 140 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown run with 6:01 remaining that brought the Bobcats within two. Tyler Arndt then found Andy Erickson for the two-point conversion pass to knot the score at 14.
Newsome, a senior safety, returned his first interception 71 yards for a score with 6:09 remaining in the opening quarter. He spoiled Texas State’s opening drive of the second half by returning his second pick 75 yards for another touchdown, boosting the lead to 14-0.
Jason Dann kicked a pair of field goals to get Texas State on the board and the Bobcats began their game-tying drive at the Louisiana-Monroe 21 thanks to a 36-yard punt return by Erickson. Following the touchdown, the Warhawks began their game-winning possession on their own 25 with 2:56 remaining.
