No. 10 Georgia 45, Arkansas 32: Nick Chubb rushed for a career-best 202 yards on 30 carries and scored two touchdowns as the visiting Bulldogs routed the Razorbacks in SEC play.
Hutson Mason threw for two scores and rushed for another as Georgia (6-1, 4-1) won its fifth straight game. Standout running back Todd Gurley missed his second consecutive contest while the school investigates whether or not he accepted money for signed autographs.
Alex Collins scored a pair of touchdowns for Arkansas (3-4, 0-4), which lost its 16th straight SEC game. Brandon Allen passed for 296 yards and three touchdowns but was also intercepted twice.
After Collins put Arkansas ahead with a 1-yard run, the Bulldogs scored 38 unanswered points to end the first half. Mason scored on a keeper, Marshall Morgan kicked a 37-yard field goal and Chubb scored on runs of 43 and 3 yards as Georgia took a 24-6 lead. Mason added a 7-yard scoring pass to Michael Bennett and Dominick Sanders scooped up a fumble and went 54 yards for a score with 2:08 left in the half.
The Razorbacks cut their deficit to 38-19 as Allen threw third-quarter touchdowns of 8 yards to Keon Hatcher and 4 yards to Hunter Henry. The Bulldogs responded with Mason’s 36-yard TD pass to Chris Conley with 13:08 remaining before Arkansas added two touchdowns to pull within 45-32 on Allen’s 4-yard throw to Kendrick Edwards and Collins’ 6-yard run.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Conley had season-highs for receptions (five) and for receiving yards (128). … Arkansas RB Jonathan Williams had 108 yards for his third 100-yard rushing effort of the season. … Chubb has averaged 172.5 yards during the two games Gurley has missed.
